Good afternoon, I bought a rFactor 2 licence back in 2013, and have stopped playing it for a while, until yesterday, whenI saw rFactor2 was now available on Steam. I was planning on buying it again, but while browsing the rF2 official website, I read it was possible to obtain your rF2 key to obtain the game on Steam. I have completed the form and received the key several hours ago, however I can't figure out for the life of me how I'm going to activate rf2 on Steam. I've downloaded the demo, but whenever I launch it from Steam, it goes straight into the game, without loading the launcher where I'm supposed to enter my credentials. Is there something I'm missing, or steps I'm not considering? Thanks in advance for any help you might be providing.
Because the only other options available were to buy rfactor 2 again, buy a lifetime subscription and buy online services for 1 year. Plus that's what I did the first time I bought rf2, I downloaded the demo and then purchased it and activated it from the launcher. My question here is, since I've technically bought a copy already, and requested and obtained a steam key, how am I going to get the game on steam without having to buy it again?
Nevermind this thread, I solved the issue. I forgot that you can activate a game on Steam by using the game key. I was just confused from the first time I purchased the game.
