Hi RFactor ***1*** cost 5,74€ actually (-70%). I bought it again, by nostalgy (I didn't have anymore rf1). Very happy of my purchase (steam). With ultra graphics + 4K + max AA : graphics are really good and performance OK.
Automobilista is also on sale too and looks pretty good. Shows what can be done with developing on the rf1 engine. http://store.steampowered.com/app/431600/Automobilista/ rF1 the last time I saw it looked sparkly but I haven't seen for a long time
I take it for the nostalgia. But at all ULTRA + 4K DSR + all max nvidia settings, graphism are good and 100% smooth with gtx 780.
this is probably the most recent version for rF1 http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=40346
I'd love to see it given VR as has been done for Richard Burns Rally but It is quite a huge amount of work to do it so other games are very unlikely unfortunately, RBR is a bit special in that I have done extensive modding for it before and its old enough to not get any patches any more (which would break everything) so it easier… Also RBR is old enough to run very well even with a less than optimal implementation without access to the source.
Now they support 3 controllers. To drive the amazing default Panoz FIA-GT GTR is enough to worth the buying. And the Toban is better than rF2 version.
I loved so much RBR. Is there a way for a non skilled guy to convert tracks from RBR to RF2 ? (for private use). I said, non-skilled/experienced in track modding guy.
