SOLVED Resolution larger than 1080p crash (was black screen on launch)

I was reading this thread: http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/19105-Rfactor-2-stopped-working-message-Need-help-please I'm going to try running rFactor2 as administrator to see if that makes any difference. I doubt it will but I need to try something.

 

Running as administrator did nothing. I did discover that I can run 6080 x 1080 in windowed mode, however.

EDIT: It should be noted that this is less than ideal as no access to multiview.

 

Any further info? Tim - is this confirmed as a bug or possibly some strange problem with my equipment?

 

DOH! finally got time to test - reinstall (complete reinstall - clean install) of nVidia drivers fixed it *whistles uncomfortably*
