Hi - I'm thinking of using a proper server hosting site for rF2 endurance races. Would be grateful to hear what people's experiences are of them and how you set up rf2 on them. Thinking about this company: http://nrtservers.com/site2010/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&id=4&Itemid=3 Do you upload the whole of rf2 to the server in the first place - I know how you can install the mods as they explain it. But the initial installation is what I am not sure about. Many thanks for your help / advice.
C3PO: It is a turnkey style set-up. We install rF2...and you can log on via remote desktop, and download the mods and tracks directly to you server. this way, you don't have to take the time to upload FTP from your computer. If you would like any more info .. nrt@nrtservers.com Dave
Hi Dave -- many thanks -- just what I was wanting to know. One other question, presumably the game server option is adequate compared to the dedicated option?
If you have Teamspeak 3 installed, we have a live support : 216.246.109.178:9996 If that is a help and you want to talk to some-one live.
What you would have is: 2GB of ram 1 dedicated core 125GB of drive space 1TB of bandwidth full FTP Remote desktop If that is what you mean? Dave
Hi Dave -- great to chat just now. Thanks for all the help. I'll be back to place an order once the dedicated exe becomes a little more locked down.
I have an NRT server. It works great. Support is great. Price is good too. Very easy to get it up and running.
