Reflections frequency on cars

    Hi everyone!

    First, I couldn't find any post or discussion about here on forums or even web, so really sorry if is something already mentioned. Since last build update (1110), I could realize that reflections frequency on cars (cubemaps) are slower than before, like if was stuttering, and not only on my system, but at all, even in high to maximum graphics settings, keeping 90 or 100 fps sometimes. I was able to have great reflections on previously build. (1109) without change any settings. I mean, has been a great update and is not such thing that disturb or makes big difference in handle or inside the game, but it was pretty nice to eyes and more realistic to see such effect. Anyone has the same problems and feelings about or has some way to fix this without return to last build? Because I repeat, it's a great evolution in terms of performance, but details makes diference for me.

    I suspect one reason for the performance improvement came exactly from the fact that reflection frequency was lowered.

    Can confirm that. I mean, the performance on high is better now, but it looks worse than low before and guys with performance headroom have to live with the poor look without the possibility to adjust that.

    So performance optimization in RF2 is basically forcing ppl to use low settings... take away the “high” and rename “low” to “High”... tadaaaaaaa :rolleyes:

    I turned it to high & Im sure the track environment looked a lot better
    Not just reflections on car surfaces

    I’m more performance over visuals so I’m happy if they’ve made FPS improvements on this option

    Sad!....another thing is bothering me is jaggies on white lines on tracks, even with AA at maximum and tweaked in nvdia inspector!

    Yup. Make the graphics worse, then call it performance update. Done !
    That could have been achieved by using properly graphics options that can be easily turned on or off, as in every other game created.

    So what is now Low ? Ultra Low ? No wonder Low in VR looks so bad :(
    And AMS is going to use the same engine ! Well that sucks !

    I use to keep this option switched off

    So I’m happy I can have it on high now , not sure what the negativity is about , it use to better than it is now ?

    I thought development of ams stopped months ago,I remembers seeing something saying last patch/build update for ams,so I was convinced they were finally going to concentrate of reiza 2017 or 2018 or 2019 lol.

    Guys, instead of complaining and then assuming stuff you don't know (we didn't lowered any frequency to improve performance as stated above), just contact us if you think there is something you believe it's a bug.

    We'll be checking what have been reported in the OP post and, if something needs fixing, it will be fixed.
