Just updated to v118 and noticed in race settings an option has appeared for real road naturally progressive or green and in session the option to save real road. Can anyone explain what these are please. rF2 is running as sweet as ever since update ( 3 screens softTH ) but i cant help notice when in multiplayer i get a track announcer chap telling "all non essential personell to get off track" or words to that effect but in single player nothing. Also a bit dissapointed the spotter sounds haven't been improved/fixed with this build...still not getting any sound at all. But all in all very very happy so far. If you own a wheel you should own rf2 otherwise its wasted
Basically you can now have options for the rubber on the race track, to start with a clean track (green), a light rubber, or a heavy rubber (probably for hotlapping). You can also SAVE your current rubber and load it on either a server or an offline race. You can even send it to someone else for them to use.
I do not have "light rubber" or "heavy rubber" to select, only "green" or "naturally progressing". Are you sure you included this in 118 build? If I choose "naturally progressing" every track loads wet. If I choose "green", every track loads wet also.
It's probably those other settings are for a future build then. Did you run the update or use the full installer, Nibo?
I downloaded update patch and put it in update folder and pressed manual update button. After that I tried deleting AutoSave.rrbin form Malaysia forlder, like Miller said, - did not help. I also tried deleting my plr file - did not help. I did not tried full reinstall of rF2 and mods.
I'm in the process of uploading the full installer for http link (probably in about 1.5 hours). If you are able to, and try it, please reply here and let me know if a full fresh install fixed that for you.
So here it is. What I did step-by-step: 1. Uninstalled rF2 and removed its directory completely. 2. Installed build 118 which I downloaded from torrent. 3. Installed all ISI mods and only them. 4. Started rF2. Selected F3.5 mod. 5. In race setting menu unchecked race, checked practice. Set 2:00 PM time, set time scale to "normal", set rules to "black only", set opponents number to 0, set mech. failures to "Normal" 6. Did not touch any option else. Did not touch new real road option, its set to "Green" by default. Did not touch weather options, they set to Sunny by default. 7. Loaded track Malaysia. 8. Track is wet. So "Green" seems to start with 0 [zero] rubber...what does "Naturally Progressing" start with? I loaded up Spa with both versions and they look the same (didn't drive em though, just looked around while the AI drove). I like the varied grip idea. Some tracks never have any rubber down because no one runs there (Korea) or because the track gets rained on, some tracks have some rubber down most of the time (busy tracks), and some times there is tons of rubber when you show up on the track (after a few other support series have run their races).
AFAIK "Naturally Processing" means that there is no track cleanup between each session. So track condition in qualifying starts as practice ends and so on. But i didnĀ“t test it so far.
I am having the same issues. Windows 7 64 bit GTX470 latest drivers non-sli Updated using the Auto-Updater and NOT a fresh install Tried deleting the PLR file, no change Happens in ALL tracks with either "green" or "natural progressing" selected All mods installed Sebring installed Mid Ohio installed What do we try now? Should we try the complete installer?
I had always a wet track in each session. Solution: Delete all files in ".../rF2Datafolder\UserData\Log\CBash".
GTFREAK, when you go in "race settings" and you see "nat progr" standing there......try clicking on the "practice" tab; there it prob says "green" again because it always seems to jump back and if you check.....you just check the "race" tab...... I found out the hard way myself
