The track looks great and I can't wait to race it once it is finished. It's too smooth. After watching the V8 SuperCars race around this track last week, I was disappointed to see that the track has very little of the character of the real track. The bumps it does have seem muted. The road surface has no grip. Even after I had some rubber down, it is very low grip. I would expect this grip level from a street course, but a permanent road course will have much better grip levels. You used the Monaco road textures (they look great, BTW) did you also use the Monaco grip levels? That may explain the lack of grip. The road is also very abrasive, after just a few laps the Corvette's LF tire was already in the yellow. Abrasive road + low grip= unraceable in anything but 15 minute sprints. Keep it up, this is going to be a great track, I can't wait to see it in the final form!
It's a great start!!!!!!!!!!!! I am sure the grip and alternate layout and bumps can all be massaged and fixed in future updates. But it's wonderful to have the current layout in such good shape already. I look forward to the final, too!
Superb!!!!! Only comment is AI much too slow. I can beat 120% easily. Others have commented on AI but not specifically regarding overall strength. Thanks again for this track and very much looking forward to AI improvements and also racing this online!
Churr bro thx guys All will be looked at for the next installment Guy yes I do like those textures the grip levels haven't been change at all Whatever it is on is what gets implemented by default with the track convert tool Have had a few say its laking grip... in a v8 mod for rf1 I can do a 1.02.3 in unleashed and 1.01.3 in FVR ....... V8supercars Qualified in the mid 1.02 bracket so if i add more grip lap times will get more unrealistic........... but i can have a look at it
Fired it up on my host for any NZ/Aus people who'd prefer to get it from a local source. http://schematics.net.nz/dl/track/Pukekohe2013.rfcmp (Thanks RR1CHO~XR~ )
Nice work R1cho. This is one track i know a lot of people are wanting. Had some issues with the AI, and safety car also created more dramas. Last weeks telecast, they did a fair bit of coverage on the character of the circuit. They explain some of the camber of the new section. Im sure its on youtube somewhere.
nice driving kiwi ..... i'll put a thread up if i can at TTR to get some of your kiwi friends feedback and thought's dv8r and others I think i Know the one there has to be a few different descriptions out there now i'd say but those guys get it best
Yeah RR1CH0, there is a thread up already in our rFactor2 section... http://transtasmanrivals.forumotion.com/t1547-pukekohe-2013
FYI, AI MUCH better at this track (for me at least) after modifying two plr settings per this thread for auto line smooth and AI limiter: http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/11969-What-the-happen-s-with-KI?p=165615&viewfull=1#post165615 I was running 120% and am now somewhere between 90-100!
you're quite right, but the AI still needs a little work on the last corner and corners 3-4 (the double apex before the back straight) great fun to drive in the skippys
thanks richo, can't pronounce the name so i haven't a clue where it is but by the look of it name is it in Wales some where.HEHE
Exactly, Guy Moulton mentioned watching the V8 race and should have noticed this track was shredding tires in that same race. I'm in a V8Supercar season and this is the next track on the schedule. I'm glad to see this for rF2. I was practicing and kept saying to myself "Man I wish this track was in rF2" well what do you know. lol. Now I wish we can get the cars for it R1CHO I'll check this track out tonight but from what I've seen looks great. PS: I'm sending you a PM HELP!!!
