I gotta better idea, PM me the game link, and i'll PROMISE to send my credit card details to u, after for payment
What amazed me is that nothing about closed beta has been leaked. Strange thing nowadays. Just one question, Tim: Have many teams have been testing the closed beta? 5, 10...?
There's been some 'leaks' of info. Mostly from me. Modding teams? No teams. Some individuals. ISI have been making the packages during testing (that's why rF2 should be an easier download, as the different car and track packages come in packages like modders mods will). That's what the open beta is for.
Where are those packages hosted? Where will mod/track data be hosted (non-ISI-made)? Are they downloaded in compressed mode? Would be glad if you could answer at least some of those questions. Edit: I must say I absolutely love the idea of ingame updating/downloading. I am tired of helping new players installing mods, tracks etc
If e-one had that opionion, rf would not have been the success it is. I do not have problems with adding or removeing stuff. But lots of others do. Ya know Tim I see a lot giddy folks impatiantly waiting for rf2 me as well. Open Beta heres my money. lol Roger
Do you have to pre-order the sim to be able to participate in the Beta? sorry if answered cant remember seeing it!
If I remeber correctly what I have seen you won't have to pre-order (in fact, I have never seen pre-order been mentioned as such). You will have to pay for the beta though (it will cost the full game price) and then when v1 comes out, then you can upgrade your beta file to v1, without paying anything extra. Also, if you buy the game in the beta fase, you will get 18 months access to matchmaker instead of 12. PS: when some people asked when they could preorder the game Tim said that you could buy the game during beta, and CONSIDER it a pre-order. EDIT:Tim excually said so on the previous page of this topic http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/1244-Pre-Ordering-rFactor2?p=16653&viewfull=1#post16653
thats sterling work there mate many thanks for that Only asked in the first place as i'm skint as hell until the 25th so if Beta comes before then with a pre-order I'll then worry when ISI take my money you see
And with rFactor 2 there is cost benefit, you get 18 months of online account instead of 12 months, plus you get to play the open-beta, which is worth $$$$.
I thought pre-order meant buying before the game came out at all (i.e., you pay and receive nothing until it is officially released x time later), as opposed to buying a beta before the official version is released. But I don't know much so... lol
