as far as I know there is no option available to determine the IA to make one or more pitstops (single and MP)

the only way I know is to increase fuel multiplier, so that they are running out of fuel.

in rFactor1 there were pitstop definintions in .gdb file working.
is this feature supported in rFactor2 (last build) ?

I have tried looking for a solution for this for months, but I haven't come across anything that is so easy do like rf1 in the tracks GBD file. I would like to have a play around with forcing setups to individual AI and change their fuel. I'm not sure if ISI would add it back in, but I don't understand how hard it can be to add another few lines to the track GBD file, considering it worked functionally in their last title.

I just change fuel usage. I'm not aware of a way to set a pitstop rule.

Tim, I assume that is confirmation that the rF1 method via GDB file hasn't made it across to rF2?

Yeah fuel usage works good enough for me.

I like offline races heaps but I can't take them real serious as too many other variables can affect outcomes.

    1. Some tracks Ai will slow for cars pitting.
    2. Some tracks have pit collisions or don't box properly.
    3. Some tracks boxes too tight for cars to get in and out.
    4. Some tracks Ai speed in Pitlane
    5. Some tracks Ai will just do strange things.

To be honest I found every sim I ever off-lined had faults one way or the other, no biggie. :)

I never tried it but I thought you could force a setup on Ai. ?

I'm not aware either way, sorry. There might be something you can set in the series rules for a mod...

For me it didn't work often, even in rF1.

Create a setup with less fuel and assign it to the AI. If you want AIs pitting in different laps, create several setups with different fuel amount each, and assign them to the bots before the race starts.

So to confirm that, each AI can have their own setup?

Yes, there's a button in the game interface which allows you to assign whatever setup you want for each AI.

I thought "Forced Setup" is mandatory for vehicle type and track. ?

Where you set this please. ?

You load your setup, you go on the standings and click an AI name, you go back to your setup and click to assign setup. Yes, it is extremely laborious.

That is great news. So I have a field of 24 AI which I each want to have their own setup. I would have to save 24 different setups for the track for each AI driver. Then when I go to the track I need to load each setup and then assign to the specific AI - and keep repeating?

That does seem very time consuming, but it would be good if there was a quicker way.

Hopefully not this way. It should be done esay to handle as possible. Wich means (maybe just for me) veh or rcd files...

is there a way to predefine the AI setups inside tracks file or anywhere else?

    Greetings, rio

Is there any magic about it?? I tried like described here:
    http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/26538-AI-setup-button?highlight=ai+assign+setup

I clicked on AI, load setup with only 1l, clicked "assign" .. Yes it has loaded, but it is shown for all drivers and at race it is only set to my car!! My car rans out of fuel, while the other cars drive and drive...

    I need help.

Ps: I tried also changed "fixed setup" and "fixed AI setup" in player.json - both set to true - restarted game - tried the things above - nothing changed ... (Same for false setups)

As far as I know the AI do not follow the fuel and tyre values in the setups, they create their own..... Which is a shame. I really wish ISI or some other smart person could create a new parameter in either a GDB, VEH, RCD file that would allow us to choose the laps the AI stop on (like in rfactor1), but people who want this seem in a minority and I don't have any high hope of anything like this being introduced. They seem more interested in adding the game to steam rather than adding in good features like this one.

We must be in the same boat then, because I have tested and tried for hours trying to get the AI to follow a fuel and tyre strategy, but it never works for me.
