Our League plans a LAN on a special location which will have no internet connection and we would like to have some fun with rF2. The question now is if it is possible to host a dedicated server where everyone in the LAN can join without having an internet connection. So no matchmaker connection possible. Without a working internet, the Multiplayer Button in the Launcher is deactivated so I can't even get to the list of servers. Is there a way to get it working or is it not playable in Multiplayer if no internet connection exists?
No. We run a lot of LANs. Long story short...you need an online connection to load the server (connect to matchmaker) and each account. Once done..it is not needed. All you need is a REALLY basic Internet connection....dialup will work fine.....
