Hey guys, Not sure you have seen these video's yet but someone hooked up the Rift to F1 2012 and made a couple of videos... It looks awesome and anyone who says they don't want this in their racing game is just wacked!! Keep in mind you don't get the 3D effect in the videos!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h54Nfm-8Md8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NwdssKgtMXY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmfKt3YFvf8 Like the guy says in the one video..."This feels amazing!!"
I don't want it in this form. Not being to see your own arms and steering wheel just feels weird. Also be sure not to have any open drinks within an arms length Agreed btw, the 3d effect isn't something you can show, you have to see and feel it yourself, it's unlike anything I have experienced before.
I agree that arms and legs should be included along with anything you would normally see if you were doing it for real... VR will get very close in time... The danger is wanting VR to be it's best with it's first games... This is unlikely... But in time it will be simply put... Awesome!!
Driving in the run rift is awesome, only thing better is flight sims. I played through about half of dirt 3 on the weekend, it was way more fun than on my triple screens. Also I can type and drink fine with the rift on Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
Hey guys, Here is another video of F1 2012 with optimal video settings... looks amazing despite the apparent lack of driving skill even with aids on!! This is a video I found on youtube! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7sT_AMJ744
I would like to hear your about motion sickness (if it's there), immersion, ability to see beyond the rift (like seeing "the real world" on the edges of screen), motion blur, lag, etc. Just give us some info from your experience. Everything that you think would be interesting to hear.
I just saw a video where someone showed a couple of vents at the bottom of the rift and that if you just look down you can look out the bottom to see your keyboard.
