I had a unusual thing happen today. I changed from Bilinear to 4x Anisotropic filtering in the rF2 settings. I was in a race with the AI and my game froze for a second, screens went black for maybe 4 seconds and came back on. Once they were back on, everything was fine. A few minutes later it did the same thing again. I have not had this trouble before. I don't know if it is related to the change I made or not. I will test more to see what happens. I have my driver set to Application Controlled now, it was set to 4x before and had been that way since I got rF2, I believe. My driver is 301.42, which I installed after getting rF2 a few months ago. I was using a very old driver 182.50, but rF2 didn't work well with it. However, until today, I have had no issues at all with the newer driver. Here is the Event Viewer log; - <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> - <System> <Provider Name="Display" /> <EventID Qualifiers="0">4101</EventID> <Level>3</Level> <Task>0</Task> <Keywords>0x80000000000000</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2012-12-27T01:39:38.000Z" /> <EventRecordID>115256</EventRecordID> <Channel>System</Channel> <Computer>xxxxxxxxxx</Computer> <Security /> </System> - <EventData> <Data>nvlddmkm</Data> </EventData> </Event> Both instances are the same, just different time stamps.
Okay, thank you. I just played again, pretty much the entire time since posting above and no problem with Filtering set to Trilinear. I still may change the driver though.
