Did u use Driver Remover before installing new driver? Just a try if not.

Will do research next time when installing new version driver.

I just had the black screen at Dubai in the new clios .. it did it 2 times about 20 min apart ,one in practice the next was 10 min into a 30 min race ..

im on a 780ti ,358.50 driver .. I see a new driver is out .. 358.91 so I might try it ..and turn soft particles off I guess .. \??

I haven't seen a black screen in over a year or so until today ...

I finally found that my case was not related to driver issue, it was my PC stability. I reduced the GPU overclocking by half and the hang did happen again.
 
This is happening again for me. I haven't raced on Monaco for a while. Soft particles turned off.

This is a severe issue. It would be great if ISI could offer some hints as to how we might fix it.
 
There's absolutely nothing special about Monte Carlo compared to other tracks, except maybe the amount of large textures and shadow casting objects. Maybe. That would point to memory ...
How many cars are you loading?

As a test
  • try loading no AI cars, and add more and more?
  • try lowering track detail one click?
  • try lowering texture detail one click?
 
Titan black and a gtx970m (laptop)
i've no plugins
i've no overclocking
i've default nvidia profiler settings
Maximum rF2 graphic settings (both cards are powerfull enough for a 1920x1080 screen)
Titan black is at tripple screens with nvidia surround (some settings are reduced for good performance)
i keep my drivers up to date with GeForce Experience.
Windows 10

And ... I've no issues at Monaco.:)

I understand that and yet the issue is consistently reproducible at Monaco. I haven't hit it on any other tracks. I have also reproduced this issue on a completely different system, neither of which were overclocked. It seems that 980ti and Titan X cards are most affected.

I have previously tried changing every setting systematically to resolve the issue. See post 6. I thought I had found the culprit in soft shadows but I am now having these issues again.

20 AI drivers. My system has 16GB RAM and the graphics card 12GB
 
Can you monitor or log GPU temps when this occurs, and compare those temps with a track like AtlantaMP or Silverstone?
