Awesome event, Valter. Many thanks for hosting this. What's the new event or is it a surprise?

 

I agree that the event on the Nordschleife was a great idea. on the other hand changing the build and mod during the event was not that good idea. People did spend a lot of time getting setup done, improve their lap times and than ...bam... all lap times are gone, different build behaves different.

I would recommend sticking to one mod, build during an event and do the update later on...

Agree in one part, disagree on other.
Sure its a PITA that car behaviour can change according to each build. But its also true that 90% of rf2 users tend to update imediately after the release of a new build.
Thats a two side issue. Keeping old build and probably losing 90% of online people or update rfmod to latest build and have this issue with potential diferent behaviours on cars?

In the end this is a fun event with the primary goal of grouping rf2 users/community in one thing and i think that was achieved.
In future events we will take that opinion/issues in consideration.

 

...and what's to prevent someone from defending their time if beaten under new build?

 

The server isn't displayed in the list but seems online on liveracers, is it normal ?

 

For some unknown reason rf2dedicated when closed manually (by the default way....) stays as a running process. This is happening since some builds ago (at least to us). If we for some reason close it and then open it nobody will acheive to join again. We need to manually check task manager running processes and close the one which should be closed.

Running fine now.

 

Hi all, here is my lap with clio currently 1st time. Recorded in 60fps but because some problems with codecs there are some stutters. I hope ill fix that in future.

Thanks from me too Valter, early on I had a brief moment of glory with the 370Z because no-one else had picked it

In the end I was a trifling 20secs off ISR-Speedster's time

 

Argh damn, I should have gone for this challenge in time. Could have been right up there in the GTR.
