Sorry for what is probably a rediculous question, but can someone clarify what kind of shifter the Nissans and Renaults in rFactor 2 have in real life?
Yeh I like to know how it`s done in reality too so interesting thread ccjcc81... The GTR does indeed have paddles going by this video but the paddles do not rotate with the wheel which must take a bit of getting used to. This GTR is left hand drive too and the one we have in rf2 is right hand drive. The one seen here also has different clocks/gauges too... Is this a newer model than we have in rf2 atm?
Tim is preparing some information about cars here: http://rfactor.net/web/rf2/rf2dl/#cars But it's still missing a lot of information. This is what I think: - Nissan 370Z: manual - Nissan GTR: sequential with paddles - Renault Clio: sequential with shifter - Renault Megane: sequential with paddles
Those things arent really too hard to find out, but it would be nice if there would be a compiled information about the vehicles in the game that tells everything. I like technical info and having it into the tiniest detail is fun. I hope this is something that ends up into the game under the car info. This section is great in GT5 in a general history of the car model way, but these kind of paddle, sequential, manual, double glutch, F1 style pedals info isnt really what they do, having all that is one of those features that just takes little research and typing and thats it.
I think 370Z is sequential with shifter. You can see the sequential shifter from the cockpit view. But I can be wrong.
I have checked, and it seems that the new model is sequential, yes. Previous versions had manual though, I don't know when they changed it. I don't know which one is modeled in the game, either.
I might be wrong, but I think you can have both on sequential gearbox. Shifter and paddles. I believe I have seen onboard footage where they had both at the same time. So it's up to the driver which one to use. As I said I could be wrong. Can anyone confirm this maybe?
You can use the free cockpit cam (i think default is U to free cam) and look around and see what type of shifter is model for each cars.
Here is the specs for 370z gt4. The other I can find as well Nissan gt-r is a six speed sequential. Not paddles I'm assuming. It seems ISI does get this stuff right fellas. http://www.insideline.com/nissan/gt-r/2010/revealed-2010-nissan-gt-r-gt1.html
