Is it possible to have an online game that is not connected through the ISI system? Days like today make it seem like a logical question for die-hard online gamers.
Has multiple times be confirmed with a NO I can't remember all reasons, but one of them for sure is protection against piracy. If I remember correct, then Tim has said something about this in the last few days, so you might look it up in his 'post' history in his profile
In rfactor one you NOT click on matchmaker then give the ip to your friends instead. in rf2 i not now how make a "hidden" online server
You currently cannot connect to a server with direct IP but it should be possible in the future. But...even for direct IP connection (and also LAN games) it will first contact matchmaker so I guess if the matchmaker is down it won't help much.
