Of course they did. Where have you been? It's the primary point of this whole beta: Testing the new mod system in rF2.

They made it very clear this beta is primarily for modders to test the new system. You are posting in the rFactor2 Mod Beta Forum.

That's what rF is about: Mods.

And if that's not good enough...

It's unfortunate you didn't take the time to be informed before you joined.

Even though I have to admit, I also didn't read all of this. All I saw was the rF2 logo and I was like"Yes! Finally! Where do I sign? Let me race already!"
Then there's nothing for me I would have to complain about. I'm glad to support ISI cutting off the greedy publishers we usually see nowadays.

Imho, every developer should do something like this and relieve themselves of the pressure they get from publishers. More quality games instead of unfinished business.

For all you that took this quote seriously and not as a joke you are pretty sad, i was just expressing creatively how excited i was that i now know when to expect the update is due thanks to the devs.
I still see you all here checking everyday with the same excitment and anticipation. Your to serious get some humour in your life.

 

Bart, I'm pretty sure that some of those adverse reactions were due to the result of looking at "typed" words.
If we had been a group of people talking to one another face to face, results would have been different.

It has always been that way. Misunderstood typed words.

Yeah , some people seem to think we play racing sims for fun , like we enjoy it or something

 

I like conversions too- but only to a point. Sometimes someone will convert a track or mod from a game that is just plain too old and it doesn't come out well. But the conversions from the previous gen of sims to the current gen usually work well. Mid-O is the perfect example.

 

I know, me personally I've hired some bloke I met in the street and pay him to stand behind me and act as a team boss, shaking his head when I go off track etc.

 

Instead of shaking his head he should shake your seat.

 

If we could get Microsoft Kinect support, we could get 4 friends to change our tires in the pits for us

 

Yeah! Or some fine looking grid girls pressing their...wait, I don't need Microsoft for that!

 

I think that is most fun history read I have had in this decade. And the cool part, ISI continues to make history, and everyone that is involved in the rFactor 2 beta has the privilege of being part of the ISI story.

No, nikos, pictures instead of words would be even worse. Think of what some of these threads would look like! They sure wouldn't be G-rated. No, not good at all

 

Don't forget that the whole point of this beta initially is to test the modding. So those who are building and releasing mods are benefiting the progress of the testing, even if the mod is only half done, its necessary to test out the whole system. But at the same time, modders are encourage to do things for the purpose of testing and not for the purpose of entertainment. If what ever the modder has released for the test works, then that's just a bonus to the end user.

 

Could the matchmaker be down due to working on the next update maybe ?
Also how come some people are managing to get their servers show up in the list.
