    Hi everyone,

I might build or buy a new PC simply for rFactor 2 to run at 60fps on max settings as constant as is possible.

I do however want to, where possible, have room for upgrades a year or two later.

So basically what I'm asking is, what spec would get me great results for rFactor 2 but not break the bank and allow me to do so on the machine at a later date?

Any spec suggestions welcome, I have been told though that nVidia is a must over ATI with rFactor 2.

Game Recommended Spec (probs needs to be higher than this still to get 60fps on max)

    Thanks.

I am running an I7 2600K @ 4.3 GHz. I had an AMD 6970 GPU and it would not run the current beta at max settings at 1920 x 1080 without some major slowdown/stuttering.
I upgraded my GPU to an EVGA GTX 680 (expensive) and have never seen the FPS go below 60 FPS with max settings at 1920 x 1080. I know thats not what you wanted to hear but it has been my experience.
The game is still beta and might run fine on lesser GPU's once they get it tweaked.

Sorry for the slow reply maniac.

£500-600 you say? Thats quite abit!!

Do you already have a hard disc, SSD? Case? PSU? Operating system?

If so, £500-600 would get you something very very good :D

Just a quick add up of some bits for you Maniac.

    All from Ebuyer

    Intel Core i5 2500K £174.86
    Asus P8H61-MX Socket 1155 £ 36.42
    Kingston 8GB DDR3 1600MHz £ 35.14
    Asus GTX 560Ti £161.68
    Antec VP 550W PSU £ 50.25
    OCZ 90GB Agility 3 SSD £ 63.62

    Total £521

Gives you an idea of prices. Alot of options out there, so shop around bud :)

Plus, you dont have to run V-sync like many do on here, its not always the best option. Running without v sync, you will see frame rates well over 170, they can dip up and down abit, but still runs better for me without v-sync.
