cool.. is the powerline image uvw spline mapped?

next: underground power lines ... (much easier to code) :)

1- I create the SPline from poles with my "splines from objects"
2- Create the sag of segments
3- Add a Sweep modifer with Cylinder shape with "gen. Mapping Coords" checked.

    ;)

What does the sweep modifier do?

In sweep modifier select the "cylinder" shape and set "interpolation steps" to zero to reduce the poly size of section. Also sets "Gen. Mapping Coords." to get mapping.
In Shape (Spline ) "interpolation steps" sets to 2 to divide by 2 each line segment of line. If set less steps we lose the curve effect of line. Maybe for far distances can set to 1.

    New version.
Now when poles are in a slope can calculate the position and the height of sagitta or sag. Sagitta is the position of arc when height is maximum.
