How can something be called "motion-sim" if there is actually NOTHING moving??? Tell me if im wrong but i cannot see anything moving there so its just another VERRY overpriced Plastic Racingseat. GREAT! And for their screen, yes a really new technology: (in some of their videos they say they invented that technology) I know that pic is 120 degrees but they got 180 degrees since years also. View attachment 2233 And what do they say in their promotion video, they are first with a Sim with Adjustable seatposition??? Yes i know it can be adjusted a BIT more then some other racin seats out there but seriously... So for my conclusion: Greets Modmate
trully awesome! I really find very impressive, seems very well done, choise of materials and design 1st class and I believe the immersion in there would be fantastic. then again, with same money, I buy Caterham and never sim again.
$18,000 is way crazy... and what do you mean it doesn't move? it's called motion? I just assumed it moved. they say they're working on another simple seat version. probably only $9,000.
@Kristoff Rand And for even 9000$ i can build you a REAL motion Sim from scatch with way better materials ( I frekin hate that plastic). I can even do it carbonfiber with also a a curved monitor but with SCN Actuators..anyway look at the video: Think of a Curved monitor mounted and also think of JUST spending about 3000-4000$ absolute maximum. If you build yourself its much less. I would really EVER prefer a real Motion sim out of fine materials rather then that Plastic Ball with bottom rumble option. Its just another sort of makin much money, or at least try to. Have a look at that motion sim made by a guy from sim-parts: View attachment 2240 Absolutely great design for less then the half of money. If you want the plastic, stick a condom over it and its nearly the same.
pretty awesome modmate. when your sim is bigger than real cars... you got something. that squeaking would drive me nuts though.
That was just a verry fast example, not mine, just to get an idea of a motion sim. Have a look at x-sim forums to know what i mean.
im pretty sure the squeak is caused by the by SNC actuators, but if you had headphones on im curious if you would be able to hear it, obviously with it being right next to your head you would want something lol
Or something like this... The track is somewhat outdated, but new version is coming soon (to rF2...). Cheers!
