Yes, GT cars onboard in the rain without music. I want to hear the "real" engine sounds for these cars.
Thanx Tim for screenshots. Overall feeling is very good. I see some issues like some texture distortion on 'from nose' shot. Looks like it has been taken from zoomed in distance camera. In this case LODs turned to lower ones. Also difference between car and other scene is noticeable. It's like car is be pasted from another screenshot. I suspect 2 reasons: - different brightness of textures or/and - using different shaders. Looks like simply diffuse shader is used for surroundings. Since car reflects env, it 'separates' car from scene. But also we can see new water shader (I'm curious is it as complex as KSzczech's one ) and new trees. Are these built from separate branches? May branches sway?
wow. looking good. Great contemporary textures and look. Obviously a lot of work in this. Is there a bit of depth of field blur in this?
There is no depth of field in these screenshots. The only source of blur is generated by the heat haze effect.
When I saw the screenshots I was sure you would to mention Kszczech's stuff for the billionth time, but I was expecting something about the water... lol Regardless, the 3d modelling still looks very good but the textures don't looks so nice this time (maybe the graphics set was lowered). For instance, I'd mention the Sandstone (?) Hill on the Monaco's landscape, I think that texture deserves some Photoshop improvement at least to create some shadows. It's too flat. Thanks for the images.
No need to use PS, just increase bump and normal mapping. But I agree with you, textures are flat a little bit. But overall they look very nice
sorry Tim, it looks dull graphics. Textures are bad, no holiday atmosphere, this is F1! ... Your artists need to learn to draw. But the shadows above all praise! look good.
able to dynamically looks good, but sadly in the screenshot, and evaporation of hot air looks disgusting, I hope it can be turned off.
Yes, and the dynamic surface is not visible ... and if it is manifest, then sure, it's not like that would be as nasamom really should look like. You asphalt is very clean, dust it, when the video from the movie that facebook, at the start of the wheels of cars, dust and stones flew ... honestly your Gmotor 2.5 I think - it's the same GT Legends, Race07 ....
Hello Wow,,,,,,,,,, That just looks great/fantastic MHO Thanks Tim Another note I have to say You dudes are hard to please. Ruben M.
Other than some blurriness (which I suspect comes from some shader effect or FXAA etc), I like how everything looks.
No, that is blurring from the heat haze of the track and car. http://roadandrace.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/Start-28Aug11.jpg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monaco#Climate I suspect it's more to do with lack of shadow occlusion. Most noticable below the tires.
Nope, that specifically is compression artifacts. What M was talking about was heat haze. But, I honestly don't mind they are there one bit. Have a great weekend.
Turn on full filtering and change the sandbags texture and i wouldnt moan Tim. I guess it's on purpose you communicate like that, dont know why. 1 step forward, 2 step back. Full HD screen but not full AA + one screen showing on the first plan (sight) an ugly texture, yes the sand bags are ugly ! Plus i read it misses this effect or this one (ambiant occlusion whatever it does) + screen compression ?? Cmon rFactor profile handled screenshot file type, change jpeg to bitmap ! I was expecting a video with the quality of demonstration showed in the sun glare screen ! Forget it. I will show you how it's done with the beta.
It's almost empty screenshot, it looks garazdo livelier than your screen shots, because the materials are working properly, and mood lighting. View attachment 293
So? You can see where the sun is in that screengrab, right? Try taking that shot at noon and capturing your 'mood' similarly.
