Been enjoy some great open wheel cars on RF2 of late and today jumped back into the Marussia , still probably the best (marginally over the FR3.5 imho) but finding a server using this beast is a no go.. Come on server peeps give her some loving
I was just thinking the same thing. This car is absolutely amazing, some of ISI best work imo. I have been racing it a lot these past few days. Complete blast. Too much for most people though, I guess.
Yep, too much. Not feeling it enough. The Renault is already a handful, but this one is just out there.
I agree, it is a little "out there" but I also think it`s a great car. I`ve managed to get some pretty good, consistent laps with it when I`ve put the laps in. It takes patience and practice imo. I`m still not that fast but it is really enjoyable to drive with some time spent on it. Also loving the FR3.5, Williams F2 and the FISI. Amazing cars to drive imo. (Sorry for slight OT )
It's the best car on rF2 to me too, but it's a challenge, and people prefer F1 glued to the track. ISI gave us a real F1 from 2012, people prefer run on mod that aren't on the same level, physics or graphics. You can't change the fact that most people want it easy sometimes...
Maybe they lack a proper wheel setup to be able to tell what's going on..? Or maybe they lack the skills to be able to tell what going on..? I feel the Marussia screams information in my face all the time, which makes it so entertaining to drive. I'm not saying it's easy to drive, no way... I'm not an F1 driver. I'm just saying, that at least with my wheel setup, it gives me all the info I need to be able to keep it on the road and actually go pretty fast.
I feel the same, the Marussia doesn't get enough attention. It is very hard to find people racing it, why not do some laps together and maybe do fun races once we have a good grid? I'd set up a server if there is any interest, I'm tired of just hotlapping it.
I like it very much, more than FISI. There were times when I wasn't just hotlaping it. But driving whole races by myself (forever alone). I like setting up this car, it's easier to do than with FISI. The operating window is wider with Marussia so you don't have to put as much time into it as you would have to with FISI.
I more than doubled the resolution steps on my throttle pedal and extended the travel length almost two inches. It made a huge difference in throttle control.
Let`s find out if this is true love. Server: -Fun2Race.net- Game Name: -F2R-Marussia_Cosworth_MR01- P1: 30 min. Q1: 15 min. Race: 20 min. Car: Marussia-Cosworth MR01 Tracks: Malaysia Full Loop Portugal GP See you on the track
I too am a Marussia lover, but I'm not skilled enough to setup or drive this missile, and actually the FFB is pretty friendly. What I "decided" about my driving with RF2 is that minimum torque should be used without fear, and to not push overall forces too high, FFB output curve should be lowered. In the end now I'm using 0.10 in STM, and 0.5 in the output curve, the multiplier is less than 1 for cars without powersteering or simply have old style suspension (soft springs, long travel), and more than 1 for cars that have some powersteering and/or a moder suspension design (very rigid with less travel). With the same setting (except FFB multi) I can drive the howston and the marussia in a satisfactory way (for my skill level), and all other cars.
cut 50 laps today and was reminded of the nuances of driving the Russian, great fun . Interestingly then changed to the Williams F2 on our leagues server and found that ,that car was very difficult to control as I had been needing a completely different style to stop the rear rounding up on me under lifting and braking..
