Hi speedster,
This must be a tires issue...could you try to change default soft tires to hard, qualy or rain and see if it change something ??
And what is your CPU...the physics of this mod is really CPU's overload.

i tried almost everything from changing tires, gameconfig settings, trying different 79 cars - no change at all.
In SP I can also watch a full GP79 AI-Grid running on track. Its only when i hit the "Race" button rf2 crashes instantly.

I know this behaviour somehow from rf1 modding. Dont know if one can compare it with rf2 though. Back then this happened when I changed parameters in physics files to some lets say really "crazy" values.

CPU is an i7 920 @ 2.7GHz (updated my system specs in my profile for more info)
With your previous 0.2 version, with other mods and with AC techdemo i get 60FPS on average with this system.

So I've done a FULL Install RFACTOR2/GP79 and I didn't have Speedster or Hedlund_90 issues...
Speedster, did you fix it or not ???

 

This belongs to Private racing/leagues section... as far as I know, all server promotions belong there.

I've been thinking about this and I have come up with nothing. But the mod works for everyone else so I have feeling Speedster and Hedlund you guys have something going on with your systems or there is something you guys are missing when you uninstall the mod.

One thing that does stick out though- Speedster can watch the AI on track but the mod crashes once he hits Race. What changes when someone hits the Race button? The AI uses a different tire model than the player. Maybe something in the TGM tire model is causing an issue for him?

 

I have a fresh install of build 156 now, and only basic ISI content so far. So I'll give it a try again to see if the problem is still there

Last time that you've try it ...Did you have multiple install of RF2 ???
It's seems that I got the same issues as yours with multiple install...I can install it on my new install but I can't figure it out with my older install....It was already install and was working well before... I've try to re-install as you etc etc but still don't work..

 

On that Google Doc, I have a hard time with the Brabham having the same HP & Tq out of a 3L engine unless its running some form of Turbo or Supercharger setup....LOL!

No, never had multiple installs. But I can confirm that mod works now after a fresh install of rF2

I would like to, but I have a strange problem with rF2. It shows no servers at all, so I can't play online. I've done everything I've could but nothing seems to help. Sorry

 

I changed my car to the Tyrrell. I can't keep that Willi on the road so I'll try something else.

First run in the Tyrrell using the setup I was using for the Willi. I completed 30 spin-free laps before I had to leave. Yes they were slow as hell spin-free laps but they were clean. I'm sorry Sir Frank, but I can't drive your car. Literally I can't drive your &%#$ing car, sir.

 

If no more guy to come I will change to Brabham #06 please...I did about 20 laps with soft tires and race fuel... This car is on a rail...
