    Hi guys,

I'm trying to make a sound file and got some pretty good samples I believe.
    They are short however.......

So; does anyone know how long the wav file should be (for in car power and coast)?
I know from way back in rF1, they were very short sometimes, but I don't know if this is different and/or there is a minimum.

    Please your advise?

Taking the Enduracer's approach to sound, you want the power sample to be the longest length of time you are in a single gear with the power down. This is usually on a long straight, but I've also overrun the length of my sample @ Daytona RC.

Short samples hide seams in the loop, but imo sound artificial.

    Thanks Lordplantsington.

I understand what you mean. I only have short files and tried to make it into a loop where you don't hear the transition; can't get it right.
On the other hand; the sound is very real, but in game it sounds like a cat getting raped by six bears.........work to do ;)

    Thanks again mate!
