I'm new to the game and currently only using a gamepad controller, i am still messing around with fine tuning its setup. What would be handy is the ability to pause the game (when in SP obviously) and tweak the controls) then go back to game and unpause and resume while on track. After a few corners you might pause again and make some minor adjustments or try something else. Currently every time you make adjustments you go back to the garage and have to go out and down pitlane and out onto the track to test the new setting. It would be much faster if we can pause game, make changes to settings and resume whilst on track, as often changes made arent suitable and current system is very time consuming.

Alternatively what about adding another menu screen in the LCD for these controls and be able to toggle this on and make incremental changes with the d-pad to the settings. Perhaps when in this LCD screen and what ever the selector is set to in that menu we use the D-pad to to incre/decress current setting. At this input the game could auto-pause or perhaps not at all (maybe we can toggle which in the main game settings?) and we can adjust on the fly- there could be text in large font denoting the new change where you normally have game messages for penalties or toggling something on and off etc. Steer Rate 18% etc. Maybe even in MP using this system with Pause unavailable, we can tweak the controller if needed.

In summary this would greatly speed up the process of fine tuning, especially we can use replay to go back to before a corner again and resume driving and test the new setting change. If that is possible.
