Earlier someone had sent me a setup for "racing school". I loaded it and set it as default. Now it is nowhere to be found. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks, Bill Paradise
I think that if you don't save it to a folder (of the track) it will be gone! It happened to me too and that's the only explanation I've found.
a build125 bug, fails to retain assigned setups. player.PLR [ Game Options ] Keep Received Setups="1" // 0=do not accept, 1=keep until next track, 2=keep until exit, 3=keep forever "1" is default, so if ya didn't manually move it from the recieved folder, it's lost.
Maybe this could be placed into in-game settings or even into garage screen next to save/load/etc buttons. I think it would be better if default action is to store sent setups automatically. Also the "Received" folder is IMHO kind of useless and believe it would be better if sent setups are stored into current track folder and somehow named as received so receiver can easily distinguish those from others. I have seen many confused users (including myself) so think the current way is not very intuitive. Of course it can be WIP and certainly can see it's lightweightness from programmers point of view. EDIT: I would like to propose to add received-tab into setup files list. Tab header could keep flashing when new setup is received until user has seen it. Received files could be sorted by receiving order (newest on top). Physically there could be received folders under every track folder.
It's not a bug of B125, it's always been this way right back from when the feature was first introduced into rF1.
my comment about when a setup is LOADED and ASSIGNED, and reverts back to default for unknown reasons, is a BUG, only since build 125 . also the "vehicle|all" option, mentioned before, is also broke, only since build 125... my comment about the plr setting was only pointed out to help the OP resolve lost setups. you obviously misinterpreted my post.
thanks for replying, max. i'm getting odd results. my vmod, 370z at lrp, lrp has one Z setup saved, and two skip barber setups, clicking the veh/all button does nothing, all three setups show the same in either position. if i select another mod, say cleo at lrp, which has no setup saved for it, and i click veh/all button, i get N/A next to the 370z setup only, but all setups mentioned are still visible. maybe i don't fully understand the veh/all feature, something seems not right.
