I recently swapped out my Porsche wheel for the CSW.
After I leave the track (back to menu), often times when I renter the track I have a complete loss of ffb effects. I don’t believe it is the wheel itself as I use fanaleds and will still receive the pedal and wheel vibrations sent from fanaleds…but wheel tension and ffb effects are completely gone. I can exit to menu then return to track again and ffb may or may not return. Sometimes it takes several attempts of popping back and forth from track to menu for the ffb to return.

I can tell straight away if the ffb is present due to the wheel tension or lack thereof.

I never had this issue with my Porsche wheel, are others with the CSW having this same issue or does anyone have any suggestions which I could look into?

    Thanks in advance,

    j

Same here with the GT3RS V2. It started to happen with the new firmware and driver versions 742/125 upwards.
It never happened with firmware 681 and driver 115 or 116.
So i guess it´s a problem with the firmware or driver.

As a workaround you can assign a key to reset the FFB in rF2. You find it in the Controls setup under the Devices tab. For my wheel default is the v key.

Interesting. Thanks much for the reply. Least I have a few unassigned buttons, I'll assign one to the ffb reset.
    Good info!

I believe there is updated firmware released. Please see if that helps.

Driver 142 doesn´t help, at least not for my GT3.

The issue is gone when i go back to firmware 681 and driver 115 or 116, so i think it´s not the fault of rF2.
    But, who knows........

My PCW does the opposite and resets the FFB to 1.00 everytime I boot rF2.

I usually just load my profile every time and do the calibration visual check.

However discovered today if I pick any value other then my profile ( 0.50) or default (1.00) it saves it.

Now if I attempted to re-save that profile it will still reset to 1.00 again next time I start. lol

    minor details

Have you installed rF2 in the default folder "program files(x86)"? I would recommend to install it in a custom folder like c:\rFactor2 or even on a different drive/partition if possible. So your config files will be stored in the games directory and not somewhere in "My documents" where Windows may try to act as a guardian.

If it does, then yes I would agree.
