Or is it just the waiving of the subs? The way I see it, if RF2 has a 5+ year life cycle as with RF1, considering you get 18 months with the standard, the 3½ years cost more or equal to the amount you would pay in subs. Also assuming beta lasts no longer than a year. It is a gamble towards how long RF2 will last.
I see that it will last, unless some better racing sim platform arises which allows extensive modding. That is the unique strength of rF2 where it relies.
I have no doubt it will last the 5 years, it is it being superseded by RF3 which is the problem and how soon they release it. Also, there are more Sims now than there ever has been with modders being spread across multiple projects.
Hello Well I would bet good money that RF2 will surpass RF1. I just wish I new that or thought about it better and got the lifetime membership once and for all. Hopfully at the end of the 18 months there will be a option to by the lifetime instead of another year. Hint hint ISI  Ruben M.
PMSL ? I'm a deer with no eyes on that one ! Pre-Menstrual-Simulation-Laughter ??? I wouldn't think so but just having a stab at it Tim's sarcasm is more prevalent post-launch... I like it
talking about extensive modding ... nowhere else you get so many mods as for rFactor 1, way over 100 close to 200 mods, now tell me which other racing platform has that many mods ... exactly, there is non ... I remember F1 Challenge had a lot of mods and lots of those mods where converted over to rFactor 1 ... I am 150% sure that rFactor 2 will continue being the best racing platform and the modding friendliest one. I think I have most of the mods for rFactor 1 that have been made + all the updates ...
Taking that into account, lifetime sub purchased Should save money on new wallets alone. Thanks for the tip.
