LOW FUEL MOTORSPORT is a racing team and community simracing. Lfm is what rfactor 2 is missing today a competitive multiplayer to date there are 53 000 registered players or they use ACC but rfactor 2 is in development THE BETA IS COMING SOON what do you think about this good new ?
ok, we have seen enough such projects here in rf2 which do exactly the same as LFM or Iracing but they didn't survive or build a strong community. Yes, perhaps LFM has more chances with 53k registered ACC players, and the project just helps rf2 and the community, but I'm not gonna jump the hype train just yet. If it work, great! I'm gonna use it too. If it fails. Not the first and (probably) not the last.
No. This is very good news for rfactor 2. The multiplayer in rfactor 2 is a huge mess as it is. Perhaps LFM can arrange the situation especially on the oval side which is quasi inexistant in rfactor 2 despite its big capabilities. I bought the silverado truck in iracing and used it for only five minutes or so ( bad physics). I am using instead the asrx truck in rfactor 2 (easy conversion) which is a lot better.
LFM is good they know what people want, for me that is: * signing up day(s) in advance * knowing how many others are signed up * a clear schedule for the days and weeks races (the CS system is a total mess, its hard to find out when a race is among the endless Q sessions) My worry is that rf2 has this stupid commercially fragmented content and you need all the content to load a server so that means that either its going to be the cars&tracks of the "rookie" CS series (alpine, low detail mod tracks) that are not popular on the CS system and I fear wont be popular on LFM or the nicer tracks&cars which are owned by few people. At least i suspect you will be able to sign up per race instead of per series which is good if you dont own all the tracks. So maybe its a case of unstoppable force (LFM) meets immovable object (RF2) . Also Im not sure if LFM can do something about lack of safety type rating in rf2, maybe they can read contacts from the server? Lets see, some of those 53000K users should be bored of ACC by now, i know i am
How many of those acc users will even try rf2. Doubt there will be many, and if they do, they turn back really quickly, as its not as plug and play as acc
The problem is that rfactor is a league game, just look at how few people are on the competition system... I also think that rf2 players are older than the average sim player so they play less and prefer to stay in their league. it's not an absolute truth though! come on, old people, let's get moving!
certainly in my league we run formula pro on monday and touring cars on thursday, so we maintain weekly race, saturdays there is resistance, friday CS, it is a non-stop, good race yesterday in CS
lfm made a gt3 and btcc race a lot of troll participating and poor choice of cars at the moment I'm not interested... it's also curious that there are people who only want to play against the AI, when they imitate humans very badly... there are many that they are not so competitive and they are embarrassed to be left behind. .. I think it's a mistake, you have to have fun and try to progress, measuring yourself against the AI is ridiculous, nobody drives like them... if you are well where are you stay there, but not all of us stay still Lets go
in my signature you can see my community, Formula Pro on Mondays and touring cars on Thursdays, there is a calendar because not every week there is a race, in Formula Pro we run the day after the real race
Glad to see it! But I find it odd that we need a third party website to handle this, S397 and Kunos should both be running something like this officially.
if rfactor installs rating and installs a competition system as it has iracing, its number of players would rise like beer foam
you're right, but even so rfactor would go up a lot, maybe it should be more friendly for users that sometimes it seems that we have to be engineers to access
Was so difficult ? Matchmaking, ratings, interesting combinations. That's all. Is actually so hard to understand this ?
Lfm beta version started a few days ago and I notice that there is already quite a lot of people! especially with the end of the development of acc during 2023 (still 2/3 dlc to come new gt3 and gt2) I think that it is the ideal amount for rfactor 2 I'm hoping for a lot of coherent content to come with q4 and 2023 ...and that studio 397 developers will be sensitive to the great added value of LFM ...
