Hello sim racers! The last day of the month is here, that means Roadmap Day! Read all about it here; https://www.studio-397.com/2021/01/roadmap-update-january-2021/ Enjoy !
Bug Fixing – Now And In The Future and still not a word about the OFFLINE AI for those who want to race against. Very sad, that this seems not so important.
I appreciate you guys putting so much attention into the communication with us! Also, pumped about Indianapolis 2020!!!
The communication via the monthly roadmap is very good and a nice feature to see what is going on... but the communication here in the forum is getting realy lame till nothing... Would be nice to see some staff action here
Good evening, For me, who has just returned to the new UI ..... Bah, as usual: crash and return to desktop during session against ia .... While with the old UI, no problems. Hopeless. Heartbreaking .... I'm going back to the old UI again .... At least I'm not disappointed with the old one ...
The best road map for some time! Like it very much, what bugs you address next. And bug reports making better is very good, too. Keep going fixing bugs before bringing new graphic features. rF2 looks very good right now
Maybe this will change if we offline drivers get together and insist that this is also very important. The competition system is there, that's very gratifying. The UI is also ready and of course needs maintenance. Hopefully now separate forces will be put to the AI. Let's see what will happen.
Hopefully replay stutter will be fixed in the new build. The old UI doesn't have it - the replay works smoothly.
I feel your pain, but Comp System is far from finished, UI is far from finished, so I think we will have to wait more.
As a developer myself, I really enjoyed the part about the development process and improving reliability of updates, improving bug fixing and reporting, public betas, and being more transparent about what is considered urgent to be working on. This is very important. The rF2 codebase is so old and huge that it must be somewhat discouraging to make some changes, in fear of breaking something. I hope the new public betas will alleviate a bit of that, for more agility.
thanks for update my new PC is finally built after a two year break, sitting on the floor with VR headset on the new UI looks great cant wait to have my Sim rig running to actually drive in rfactor2 !
Some of you need to realize the people working on Content and graphics has nothing to to with the coding for AI, UI and Comp system. So do not think they are not working on stuff in the code if a lot of content and graphical updates still come out. Those teams will continue to work on that stuff while the coding team working on the UI, competition code and other things in their bug list. Plus all of this is not easy to do. I see a lot of things being fixed sooner than later as getting the UI and Comp system implemented was a huge task!
I know this probably would have been covered in the road map but any news on the updated stock car rules plugin (mentioned in October Road Map)? Unless I missed a previous road map update...
Great roadmap the transparency and the public beta are great ideas. if this works the way i think it will the sim should move frwd more in leaps and bounds in the future.
As usual, thanks for all your effort and compromise with the community of simracers! This focusing on fixing bugs and annoyances gives me hope that rf2 new ui will get the quality it deserves soon. Good luck! P.s. Please fix the chrome again on old wccardbody shaders please... (;ŏ﹏ŏ)
NIce, and thank you. The more I race (alone) with rF2, the more I see the FFB is far superior to any other game.
