Weird how the hop from Brussels to London takes so much longer as from London to NY :p (Or I'm completely misunderstanding the trace which is also possible ehe )

No...you understand from left to right, the numbers you see are lowest, average and highest return.

Last line where it says nrtservers.com..is the overall average

I'm reasonably sure that the numbers are just three pings for each TTL level and aren't min/max/avg. You can see that by looking at several of the traces above... there's no such pattern to the numebrs.

A better tool for these discussions in WinMTR because it'll senda lot more than 3 packets and it will report min/max/avg over a longer period of time.

@Timpie... I wonder if those routers labelled "London" are actually the European facing point-of-entry routers in New York. Those numbers make no sense otherwise.

It looks like the IP is resolving to the USA> http://www.geoiptool.com/en/?IP=4.69.148.182

Well I guess, I was taught what I posted were there values min/average/max. But ya know, I am never to old to learn something new... :)

    Thanks

    Let me ask another question;

How many racing on the servers, and seeing lag or stutter, have there system Over Clocked?.

Just being curious, I remember when we first started the GSP in late 2005 early 2006.
There was a big stir in some other tittles mostly First Person Shooters, That the lag
issues cropped up when users were overclocking there systems.

It actually did trigger some results from the software companies.

I am not saying that this is the issues at large some see, But
I leave it open for conversation, Hopefully there are a few here
that would vaguely remember that issue. right in around late 2006.

The tittles were ARMA, Ghost Recon and Pragmatics war game that escapes
    me right now.

I will need to do some searching and see if I can dig up old info.

Hi PMC, Yeah Peterboroughs ok, getting a bit full to be honest but overcrowding, like so many things, is relative. Certainly there are worse places to live and raise your kids. I've got 2 daughters at Jack Hunt school and I learnt how to roll a kayak in the pool there about 27 years ago. Happy Days!

This isn't for the NRT servers but our own server... I'm at stock clocks and very few (if any of us in the league) are overclocked but all drivers see the lag (worst at the start when cars are touching).

Quite heavily overclocked (About 35%) and mostly lag when the servers gets filled up. I rarely have the white name things above cars enabled but when I occasionally do to see which *beep* caused that accident I usually see around 150ms. That's already enough to see the weird warping all over the place.

I was on the touring server with lime rock running early with at least 15 if not more people on and did not get any lag or stutters... FYI

    Thanx for the reply argo0,

Brung (don't blame the school . I wasn't the best student) back a lot of memory. I learnt to smoke cigarettes behind the pool .learning to swim there was one of e'm lol :D

I don't think the Spinney exists anymore , it was an adventure playground .

Also skiving and hiding out at Thorpe Hall in the old hollow Oak Tree ,hmm and else where. I wasn't a bad kid I swear !

I mostly remember night fishing/camping and ferreting at the lock (Orton Staunch and Ferry Meadows from memory) Even in January we were camping .There were no computers back then.

OH and looking out the window at Perkin's Diesels clock tower (corner of Priory RD) to see if I was late for school. And scrumping all we could from the lane way behind .(Where the cat lady with the thinnest waist in the world lived, ) lol check the quinness world records.

Thanx for bringing back the memory's ,Hope ya kids have fond ones too when there older :D And hey! same school !! :D

    EDIT: Sorry for OT

    Final off topic lads, sorry.

Funny how our paths cross again here PMC because Orton Staunch is where I go kayaking every week. When the water levels are right you get some properly big water coming over that weir, as I'm sure you may have seen from time to time. That place is my playground mate! You cant beat steaming into it in a kayak, getting thrown about and the water hits you in the face like 'an overhand right from Riddick' (to paraphrase Xzibit, or Mark Twain, I can't remember).
I camped down at the Staunch too, back in the day. Supposedly kayak slalom training with a mate, but mostly chatting up passing girls and showing off to be honest! Good times.
    Take care bud.

Apologies again everyone, we're done now!

Are you guys now confident that the issue was related to that version of the LR plugin and not the rF2 server executable?

We haven't had a single crash, and Dave has so far been able to give other reasons for those experiencing lag still on servers. I do still want to get the data rate reduced before I can be confident in using LR.

    Tracert from Germany.

Something is wrong with hop 16. I see not much lag, but sometimes I loose the connection for no reason.
