Well Max was Italian and if this is a tribute to him or in part, a tribute to him then I`d say there`s a fair chance it`s Monza/Brianza... I could be wrong though.
I dont think this building was already there in the sixties, so it must be a "somewhat" actual version of "Brianza" then.
The building is indeed from that era. It can be seen in this photo. No date on the image but we know it's pre 1972. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/1c/2a/27/1c2a27e89827fc3917ecf1b961361f4d.jpg
believe it is not a modern Monza and ancient update ISI Track Team o Nice to see our knowledgeable community research and discuss track history. Keep it up, guys -- tracks are so much more than places to race.
It's not modern Brianza, I would have hoped it to be. I hope it's not a sign that they are running out of track licenses, as focus seems lately on updating old tracks only.
I seriously doubt they'll run out of licenses any time soon. From what Tim has written over the years, it's quite a long list of upcoming stuff. Did you all forget about NOLA? Also when the historic tracks do get an overhaul, they'll feel brand sparkling new, I bet. So much has happened since 2012, track technology wise.
They work on old tracks they get complaints, they work on new tracks they get complaints, they rename track corners they get complaints, they work on......
The problem is, you can never make an old track look new as the newbuilt do. It's always going to be old tech, old mesh, old 3D models, etc, which is very visible at Sepang for instance. I don't mind updating old tracks if it's done at same proportion as new track releases.
