I tried to create a mod using the mas2 exe and everything is ok until i click package and i get the error "invalid package location" Not sure what to do, I have created mods before with build 118 but since the 125 build i have this error.
I did a fresh install for build 125 but changed the location from drive f/rfactor2 to drive f/program files/rfactor2 could this have anything to do with it?

Are you running W7, if so installing the 'Data and Settings' into Program Files probably has everything to do with it.

Yes, thanks. I'm assuming the location of the rfmod file shown there is a valid existing directory?

If you mean the top path AppData\Roaming etc i'm not entirely sure as i cannot locate it from opening my c drive users/myname.
Also should i have a folder called data within my rf2 folder?

Yes the rfmod folder F:\rFactor2\Data\Packages does not exist, and the packager will not create it, that's why you're getting an error. Easy fix. :)

Easy if you know how lol :D
So if i just create a new folder named Data within my rf2 folder... that's the fix?

No, you need to create a folder called Packages, inside one called Data, inside one called rFactor2, on F. :)

What was the point of moving your install in the first place if you're just going to recreate folders you used to have.

Who told you installing 'Data and Settings' into Program Files was a good idea?

No one told me to place the folders anywhere, i don't remember changing any install paths when i did a fresh install of build 125, but i may have done. I'm not that "techy" with computers, but all is well now. I still don't understand the relevance of your first post though and what windows 7 had to do with anything

By default you don't have write permissions to folders like Program Files so could cause issues installing MODs and stuff, they might end up somewhere you weren't expecting.
