How could they do that to the (otherwise) beautifull Spa!!!!! I've been there quite some times (not F1 though) and never ever seen it that dirty (that includes during 24H of Spa, and WSbR)

(and for those not recognising, this is the Kemmel Straight, going towards Les Combes, which you should know from a certain Hamilton-Rosberg incident ;) )

was at a kasabian concert and the ground was just like this, I carried my rubbish for a while but no bins anywhere ....so I reluctantly dropped my rubbish on the ground with everyone else's ,
I wonder if sometimes even organisers prefer to simply do a clean up at the end of the event as oppose to placing lots of bins everywhere then collect them / dispose of the rubbish etc

(I guess I could have carried my rubbish around all night but it was mounting up eg food containers and plastic beer cups )

What matter is the wall made of? It must be really tough to be able to contain so much water.

    Crikey!
    I need more pictures.
That'd be one incredible feat of engineering.
Can you imagine the pressure on every square inch of that barrier?

Uhm, that was actually in Austria. A friend is currently working on a project in Upperaustria (where those pics are from) to improve the flood safety there.
Sadly a few people have to leave their homes in future.

Really? Sorry then! I thought it was from the Oder-Flood in the east...

EDIT: Yo! googled it, the picture is indeed taken in Austria!
OK, but german engineering and austrias are similar! ;)

    http://gizmodo.com/meet-the-high-res-satellite-than-can-count-the-number-o-1621411343

This High-Res Satellite Can Count The Number Of Chickens On Earth

Now that the WorldView-3, the world's first satellite capable of capturing high-resolution public images has launched, here's exactly what it is capable of doing all the way up from 385 miles above the Earth, according to this cool Mashable article:

It may prevent famine in Syria by identifying ahead of time exactly how many crops are being grown now that two million refugees, mostly farmers, have fled the country.

It can help identify invasive species, tell the difference between limestone and sandstone, and inform cities where all their manhole covers and mailboxes are.

It can estimate the number of chickens on the planet via its chicken coops (seriously!)

It will send 1.2 GB of data back to Earth every second. Which means that it can send an extremely detailed image of everything between New York City and Washington, D.C., in just 45 seconds.

If it were sitting in the 'O' in the Hollywood sign, it would be able to count the number of people on the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, which is 385 miles away.

I'll see your counter steer and add a bit of burning wreckage.
