    Hi,
I ran the full installer (after fiiinally downloading it) and I found a bug..
If you run it then click Next to go past the Core install location (which defaults to C:\Program Files (x86)\rFactor 2 on my PC) then Back, it changes it to C:\Users\darius\Documents\rFactor 2 (the same as the data & settings destination folder).

    Uninstall and delete all folders

Backup your .rfactor folder ( your credentials ) in username/appdata/roaming ...that is assuming you have alreay activated it by now.

Create a blank folder where you want rF2 to be Example below E:\ rFactor2

    Run Lite build setup

Point installer to the rfactor2 folder you made, when you click next the settings folder will be same path ..........

DD... you've missed the whole point of the OP. That's why you've gone off topic.

I stuck my tongue out, doesn't that make everything okay? Hahaha.

DD, the OP is about a bug in the installer. Run the installer and when it prompts for the Core path just leave it on the default. Then click next which puts you on the DataPath prompt. Leave that at the default and then hit the back button. You will then see the Core path has switched to the same path as the DataPath. Not a big deal and the original poster probably didn't have a problem figuring out how to continue with the install. But the fact is he found a bug and it was worth reporting.
