Since this is our first "real" oval track, I thought I'd start this, to gauge times with other drivers. Also can be a little fun. Video isn't necessary, but can provide one if you want.

Indianapolis 500 OVAL track @ 75 degree temperature.

    Laptime: 39.837 or 231.737mph.

2d challenge thread, maybe its time to request ISI to make the ghost car exchangeable. would be great if we could just post the ttl file and let others use it. great training tool as well.

Your math is off. You have to calculate Indy as being 2.5 miles long and a 39.837 is a 225.9204 MPH time

    39.837 secs= 0.66395 mins

    2.5 miles / .66395 mins = 3.76534

    3.76534 x 60 = 225.9204

LOL this would not have even put you on the grid for the real 500 this weekend! What's sad is that it's still better than my best so far :-(

I thought the ghost car already is exchangable - at least someone said they could do it on one of the ghost car threads a while back

Don't forget, in real life they get extra boost pressure for qualifying, but not in the race

Good point, I had forgotten that. On RC's they have the P2P system which can help your lap times too.

I didn't do any math at all. :p I used this website. Blame them. But since RF2 uses lap time, we'll use that.

Maybe you put in 38.837? As that gives 231.7 MPH.

That website is handy. Better than doing it by hand.
