When i use it here, i have a very noticable difference between your and my file with the turbo engine. So there must be something else wrong. Could you share all files, at least the hdv and chassis.ini?
you have the same file as me, just the turbo lines? what do you mean ?) here is the whole car, its in devmode format https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B-FkSy2X2RntRzEyVGVyTjhqbVU Go nuts, on that m50 engine
I mean, when i compare your engine and your engine with the turbo i have added, i get noticable more power with the turbo version. So the engine file is ok. I hope i can figure out what the problem is.
After a first look into it, i suspect your Upgrades.ini. There seem to be missing a lot of brackets, to seperate the engine options. I would suggest to change the entries, that the whole thing can work properly. That should solve the problem
my upgrades are perfect, they always worked on all the cars i made, thats not the problem, but i will try not using an upgrade file, and see how that goes.
i deleted the upgrades file, and just using the m50 engine, no turbo at all, so it's not that, what else you got? haha
Put the file with the turbo, that i've sended to you, into the Mod folder and in the HDV enter this: Normal=engine_bmw_m50b25_turbo // unrestricted engine and delete the Line: RestrictorPlate=engine_bmw_m50b25 // restrictor plate engine And now, with no Upgrades.ini present, there is no difference in power?
fiaaaanaaalyyyy, it was that stupid restrictor thingy, it works, can't really say how much i appreciate this BUT now for the big question, how can make a proper turbo, adjustable steps, i just need like 10 stept of adjustability , between 0.2 BAR and 2 BAR? is that possible? im willing to pay of course for that. Thanks again guys for the help.
I would suggest to get a vehicle with working adjustable turbo and try to replicate its structure. Enduracers Endurance series for example. I would also forget about dev mode. Once you have packed the component a first time, it takes one minute to update it with modified mas files and install it.
Yeah i know that, but on what i do to my cars i meed dev mod, its still much much faster, but now everything works well, all good
rpk means rpm? No, not seriously. As said before, i'm no expert with that. But if i had to try to modify it, i would start with adapting the TurbineFlowEffects Entries. Maybe a Curve that raises earlier, starts the Boost at lower rpm and a Curve that raises later, starts Boost at higher rpm. But you need to try things out. Or you try what @Euskotracks suggested and use an existing adjustable Turbo as Pattern.
Well yeah rpk was actually engine rpm hehe. If i try another turbo still won't know how to change the engine rpm that starts the turbo. Somehow gotta figure out how to set that, or find someone that can already do that.
