HistorX mod

Oh yeah... and the great Ford Capri´s and Ford Escort RS cars... that was so much fun in rFactor 1

Teamspeak when a GT3/E race is on is fairly silent.
Teamspeak when a Oz Legends, 70's Touring Car etc race is on sounds like a party. Laughter, hooting and of coarse some comical sledging.
I think a paid Historic mod would easily out sell what they have released up to now.

Unfortunately, all of the models would have to be redone. Many of the models used in P&G as well as the HistoriX mod were ripped from Simbin's GT Legends game. Permission will not be forthcoming from them. I doubt we will ever see the like of that game or those mods ever again. Sadly.
At some point however, those would become abandonware (if not already). Maybe then we'll see the port. I am not a lawyer, however.

It will be unlikely we will see a gigantic mod like HistorX again, but if not all of it then every single historic vehicle counts and is a big pus for rF2. Therefore i was very happy to see mantasig coming over here from assetto corsa and porting his excellent XJ13 over. There are many talented guys out there, lets support them and we will probably have a proper E-Type, MK2, Ferrari 250 SWB, Ford Capri and the like in rF2. I personally was very disappointed when the DRM revival guys chose Assetto as their target. I bought the mod anyway to support them but it would be so much better suited in rF2 from a driving standpoint. I am a very satisfied buying customer when good historic content appears for rf2.....

It's an insane, huge, work. I guess somebody could do a partial conversion, but having those whole mods ported...

I will happily pay for it, but it's unlikely to be real someday.
Every journey starts with a single step :) GTR2 is close-ish to rF1, and I've read somewhere that basic port from rF1 to rF2 is not like complete rework. But of course, to do it nicely and with quality, it is multiyear commitment by a team of a few people.

Should get in touch with the guy with nick name Dauntless. He made this car for AC, it was really good mod. He also helped me a lot when I was starting to mod. I remember when Kunos with totally no announcements simply shut down modding sections in their official forum as a reaction he removed the mod and said that he would do it for rF2. I wonder how is he these days, I wonder if he is still interested in simracing, or spending time on modding.
