I wanted to introduce you to the new HillClimb 2023-24 championship that we are going to organise at LVF1. We are going to use Audi Quattro GTO (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1317512288). You will also need to subscribe to our patch: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3008796603 This championship brings circuits between 3 and 11 kilometres. LigaVirtualF1 has set out to revolutionise HillClimb in rFactor 2 and we have converted several Assetto Corsa tracks to bring them here, in rFactor2. Among them we can find Okutama Touge, Akina Downhill and The Tajo HillClimb. In addition, we have also converted several rFactor tracks to rFactor2. Thanks to all modders that release publicly available Hillclimb content. Not everyone can participate in online championships.
I have children and wife. It's hard to follow an event schedule and also practice in between. I subscribed once to the hillclimb virtual championship but I wasn't able to make it on half of the events and when I could I didn't perform very well. They politely asked me to leave. The events could last almost two hours plus some more time before for quali.
I can agree, it already lasts Days to learn all Tracks. A long Time ago, with rFactor1, we also did some Hillclimb Events in our Community and we ran 1vs1 Races too, to make it a bit more challenging. I've found an old Video (480p max) of such a Race, where i am in the yellow Car and had a bad Start and made a driving Error at the End, but the Race was Fun.
Our events are very short, as we run all the drivers simultaneously (using private sessions), so it lasts very little time. In addition, we give a margin of 3 different times to run the event as I indicated in the first message. In case this helps..
