Hi all, My monitor can do 96Hz refresh rate. Previously I used a 5970 and the custom resolution utility to achieve the overclock. Rfactor 2 saw the custom resolution and i could run the game at 96Hz. My 5970 died ( ). Now I have a 780Ti ( ) In the nvidia control panel I have made a custom resolution to run the monitor at 96hz. Other games detect this custom resolution and run it fine. Rfactor 2 does not detect it. I only have the option of 59 and 60Hz. Any help please? Thanks, Tom Fixed it: need to use CRU. To use CRU with nvidia you need to uncheck "extension block" and have nvidia experience uninstalled
I have Viewsonic LCD on 120hz and no problems with Rfactor2 or other game on my nvidia's 8800 and 660ti. Sent from my GT-I9300
I've made a custom res 2.880 x 1.620 @ 60 Hz (original is 1920x1080 @ 120 Hz, BenQ XL 2420T) but i don't use this higher res because of very low fps, evtl. i use this to make screenshots.. I see the custom res. in my config and i can choose this. You see a difference (60 Hz vs. 96 Hz). I'd like to think you don't use Vsync?
Yea, I don't use vsync. There is a clear difference between the smoothness of 60Hz vs 96Hz+. Vsync usually adds input latency (my experience with almost every FPS game ever), so i don't use it.
^^^ +1 ^^^ _____________________ I have a XL2720T with 120Hz and 121Hz and they are working fine (120hz = 120Hz, and 121Hz is a 120Hz but with LightBoost ON, with a waaaaay better smoothness) the diference between 60Hz and 120Hz is a little one compared to LightBoost ON/OFF. Only few monitors can activate LightBoost, read more here: http://www.blurbusters.com/faq/60vs120vsLB/
OP means when you add a custom refresh rate to your monitor such as an overclock. You can set override to highest refresh rate in nvidia inspector, but still this does show the new rate when you configure rF2. Thanks, used CRU and have 2560x1440 at 120 Hz configured in rF2 and working nicely. This is not as blur free as a 120 Hz monitor with 1ms gtg and especially lightboost, but does show a very good improvement over its standard 60 Hz setting. On a positive, twice as many pixles makes the image about twice as good, especially up close. Now, if only I could fool nvidia into thinking the monitor was 3D supported. Asking too much there anyway.
