Happy Beta New Year!! How far do "you" think we've come HEHE, ok seems close to a year,how far do you think ISI have come as far as progress on the main feature's. 1,Real Road ,tar only = 60% ? (Including dirt and snow would be unfair) 2,Weather including spray = 40%?(Not including Snow/Ice) 3,Tyre model ,tar only = 50%?(Same as 1.) 4,Mod packaging = 70%?(As it stands) 5,AI = 70% 6,Mods and Tracks =90%?(Depending on the rest of the stuff) 7,Graphics =80%? 9,Physics = 80%?(cos you can never be 100%) 10,UI= 85% (cos i needed a number ten) 11,OH! and any new functions ie. skin swapper? =0% OK this is just to get an idea of where we think were up to . The percentages are just my aproximation,so i would like to know if you feel the same or that more or less progress has been made in these fields. Sorta might put things in perspective after a year, how lonnng to Gold.
Well it seems you must all agree with these figures . But i thought i'd add a couple more conciderations. 1.FFB = 90%? (most seem happy with this) 2.Hardware compatability(Wheels/Gampads) = 60% G25/27? .80% Fanatec? 3.Hardware compatability(Multiple Screens) = 70%? 4.Hardware compatability(PC, mainly graphics cards) = 70% nvidea? .50% ATI? 5.Hosting = 85% There are a lot of guys out there who have been testing the different aspecs of these functions beyond my knowledge. I'm sure there must be someone who could correct me if these figures are wrong. Anything at 90% could be concidered finished(Allways room for improvement)
in a scale 1 to 10, 1 being the launch of the beta and 10 the called gold release, i put my bet in 5.
LOL thats the point of the thread.No one has any idea because everyone is testing different apsects of the game and the information is spread out over hundreds of threads. I would like individuals (mentioning no names) who have been specificly testing the individual features specifialy and offer there thoughts on each feature. Your input is good Sluis but i would like some idea on each feature and not so much an overall conclusion because as each feaure reaches 90% developement will excellerate.But in saying that ,out of ten i woulda put it at 6.5/10. But i'd like to see each of these features ticked off the list when they reach 90% and concidered finished
Ok, things i have been keeping my eyes on since I bought the game: - Real Road = 60% (good, just good) - Weather (Time lapse) = 60% (I just tested time lapse and custom weather) - Tyre model = 65% - Mods and Tracks = 80% - Graphics = 65% (I mean, DirectX9c with the AMAZING HDR??? C`MON!!!) - Physics = 75% (I`ve done some weird things with Clio, like stopping on the top of barrel tires, but works fine) - FFB = 80% (The G27 deadzone REEEEALY bothers me) - Hardware compatability(Multiple Screens) = 50% (no optimization AT ALL!!)
Its impossible to me because i don't have your knowledge aut software neither do i a internal beta tester. I'm only basing on Isi statemensts (will be gold when its done). So i make a safe bet: equaly far from gold than what i bought. edit: for the things i´ve read, june 2013 will be released the so called gold no matter stage of software development.
I'm not so sure thats what it meens,i think that is more about restructuring the purchase and refund contracts and not so much the release of Gold ,but i could be wrong. But this thread is more about where the game stands now and not so much about Gold release. So hopefully a few more people will post there thoughts ,even if it is for just 1 or 2 of the features you have an opinion on. You dont have to be an internal tester or computer guru ,simply owning the game gives you the right to an opinion. I'm not looking for an ISI response,even though that would be nice.
Ok PMC. I misunderstood your topic, but i think tell something about technical features That are working or partially working would be better if i was a modder under dev mode to see whats is working or not. I only play (use to) play the game.
