Original mod GP2 Series 2006 by Nunux and Phil Wardog was created for rFactor 1 in 2008. I converted it to rFactor 2. Mоd was converted for 40 minutes. Differences from the original: - added inter and wet tires (include visual changing) - new shaders - new sounds (from ASR GP2) - some new specular textures
Why change the sound? 2005-2006 used a V10 - the ASR car uses V8... Unless the original sounds didn't mimic a V10 I don't see a reason to change it... Will you make the animated driver work too?
For some reason they can not be played in the RF2. The only thing that I can not do it myself - it's animated driver. If someone agrees to help with it - welcome to the team!
Ah, well that's weird - the sound issue! https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/animated-drivers-arms.52530/#post-856936 Please read post #6 here, that will give you a good method to see if you can do it (some steering wheels can be to special of shape to be perfect though) without knowing how to create an animation from scratch!
I love the fact that you are spitting out mods by the hour mate, I really do; "we" need some different content here I believe. However; you say yourself you did this in 40 minutes...... I can't help but thinking: - no flex chassis (or not properly calculated through) - no "custom made" tires - no new steering system - no new engine file Why not spend a "little" more time and give those awesome mods what they deserve, what the game deserves? Than it would be quality instead of quantity, but just as much (or even better) appreciated.
Hmm..... I get it. Me, personally, wouldn't hand it out in that case, but we're not all the same. I come from "the other side".......I do physics and can't do the paint/modelling part. But if I do my work but the model is off, the body is missing or something; it can't be published. I'm not "up to par" health wise to assist you, certainly not at your pace and so I don't offer. What I meant with "custom tires" is a proper (calculated) .tgm file. No stock file with adjusted grip and/or size multiplier.
Well, I understand you! I will not do more mods and remove all references to what has been done. ISI did Indy - enough for me.
That is one way to take some well meant feedback. If I was to direct; get mad at me and not at the whole community. They appreciate what you do and as I said; I do too. I really meant that. But its your mod; sad to see you take it the wrong way.
Please, let not my "train of thoughts" get you upset mate; its not worth it! You ARE doing great work. Also; lets not mess up this mod page with a disagreement and allow me to give you a pm so I can explain myself a bit better. Respond to that or not; that is totally up to you. But; do keep up the good work and I will -in public- make my apologies now if I came on to direct (Dutch, we "have that" I was told several times ) My honest apologies man.
