gmotor tools with 3ds max8

    Hi,
    I have (still) a problem with installing the latest gmotor tools for max8.

    I have tried to explain in the text with this picture:

    I have 3ds max8.
    I cannot get the latest gmotor tools
    to work.
    However I get the older tools (released
    in 2012) working, though I believe they
    cause me problems.

    I have some limits, like here shown in
    the pic, reflection mapper slot is greyed
    out, and specular power max is 100.
    ( I hear you can have it up to 900 if you want? )

    Since Í´m uncertain if the tools work
    properly for me, I´m stuck with trying
    to find a good setting.

    The main problem I´m facing (in devmode)
    graphically, is the carbody in the dark. Car
    looks white/light grey, like milk on it.

    Is this a problem with my settings (and
    what should I test to have a natural effect? )

    Or is it a problem not yet solved, or a problem
    I cannot solve before I solve my problem with
    the latest gmotor tools?

    To enable the 'Reflection Mapper' field, tick the 'Live Mapper' checkbox in the Cube stage.
    As for the value limits ... yes, that's down to the plugin version I'm afraid.

    Allright, thank you for the help Luc.

    Still if anyone has a clue why the problems with the latest tools, I would appreciate any info on that part.
