Thank You Weird how that is different to their site i got my cars from ? why don't they have the track on their official site?
There were some issues back in the day with the old website. When you purchase from the new website it is actually also via sellfy.
Sorry about all the confusions folks, I was told not long ago that it wasn't on URD's website anymore. Had a couple people purchase from me directly since then. Honestly I haven't seen any revenue from Gingerman sales in years so I have no idea if there have been any sales through URD or the new website in a long time. If people have been purchasing the track from that site, then I may need to talk to Alless. I have plans to update the track and do a full public release but I have no real time table on that. Quite busy right now and I may wait out the move to DX11 prior to make the best update to it as possible.
It was supported. Can't fault a guy when you make a track then there are massive updates to a game. As he said: I have plans to update the track and do a full public release but I have no real time table on that. Quite busy right now and I may wait out the move to DX11 prior to make the best update to it as possible. He is currently the creator of the tracks for the KartSim add-on that was spoken about in the Roadmap.
I still want to update it, and update some of the 3PA tracks I was involved with as well quite certain I could make them look quite nice now. However KartSim work has me swamped, if I can get some stuff off my plate soon maybe I can start working on this on the weekends perhaps. I still have my Daytona project that hasn't progressed in a year as well, unfortunately I can't clone myself nor do I have a way of creating more time in a day so I've got to work with what I have.
I still would love to see Daytona progress if possible! (Gary here by the way, I was talking to you about that track quite a bit last year) Totally get that you are swamped with kartsim but if there's any possibilty of squeezing some time for Daytona work please let me know
I take the opportunity to say that KartSim circuits are graphically in the TOP 10 of RF2 ..... incredible, continue as well. And thank you.
Bought the track to support the author. It's a decsion I do not regret. The track may not be upgraded to DX11 however it loads very quickly and runs as smooth as silk and looks really damn good for what appears to be a track plonked in an open field. Given the time between the release onto the URD website and now, it appears from the videos I found from 2017 some extra trackside details need to be added when time permits. I'd also suggest knocking the default temp from 37C down to 20C (or whatever is more realistic for that part of the USA) as the track website states the tarmac is a specific formula to cope with harsh winter weather. All in all though, it's a great track and I hope the author releases a few more tracks after his Kartsim work tails off. A 2017 video for reference:
Agreed. I race at GingerMan every year and it's a very close representation of the track. It really is a track in the middle of a field, but it's definitely worth a purchase if you like club tracks.
I hope that this great modder will never stop working in part for KARTSIM : the Kartsim tracks are impressive .....
