To start with I don't need help I have my gauges working. This is to help others and myself to easily work out the gauge angles without heaps of time wasted in trial and error.

I have been playing around with analog gauges in a car I'm working on.
I fooledly I mean followed the rfactor wiki. BUT never saw a needle on my gauge. Then did some research and found on other websites that the materials for gauges need to be set as render target.

    Beauty I see needles.

Now the wiki says the needle angle is 0 straight up clockwise. So I would assume that 90 points to the right 180 straight down ect ect and the angles in between.

To start with I had 3 gauge windows 1st window is rpm, 2nd speedo and 3rd shares with fuel, water temp and oil temp.

I have put together a pic of my gauge texture with the angles required to get to the top and bottom marks on each gauge. (in red) for me there is some inconsistency in angles and it goes in an anticlockwise and look where 90 is! it not in what you would call a 90 degree position.

Anyone else had problems finding the angels?

If i'm not totally wrong, it's 90° at top, 0/360°on the right, 180° on the left and, of course, 270° downsides.

I did use the search engine on the site but your post didn't come up. Maybe I needed to be more precise in my search

One thing you also need to remember is to make your needles point upwards (not down) when making the needle textures. If the needle texture points down the numbers are 180 wrong. Also if you try to use ttf font your needles will just disappear.
