Hi all, I am struggling with steering inputs with the G27. I have 900 set in profiler with 'Allow game to adjust' ticked. I think have vehicle set in game (450 on this mod) and the steering is unbelievably slow. When I brake and then turn in I basically have no initial input and it can take anything up to 90+ degrees worth of lock to turn in and once there it is so hard to power on cause the car will stop turning. I have checked if the vehicle set is not working by changing my wheel to 450 in profiler and still does the same. Any ideas on can cause this? I have tried my wheel on 3 other sims with no issue. Thanks
I've had something similar to that in the past. Numb, unresponsive turning at least. In my case it was accidentally pressing F1 for steering help. Might not be your situation, but it's quick and easy to double check
Woochoo seems to be on the right track - either that or you have a steering deadzone set. In the controller menu, check whether every millimetre of movement is registered.
That has nothing to do with what I recommended. Man, I hate giving advice when people just refuse to actually check it.
Does the wheel maintain its center or does that change over time? If not it could be your encoder wheel is cracked.
Well it does doesn't it. Cause you can't really set a deadzone as is. Yes I have clicked and rotated the wheel both ways. Also up to the point of resistance and up to full rotation.
Holds the centre no problem and say moving in a straight line but when you have the enter a corner and create some load it's like it stops working.
Yeah but not after a fresh install AND selecting a profile. Setting a deadzone you would have to do yourself...
Pre-Rendered Frames - "1" - In the Nvidia Control Panel select your rF2 profile, then change the setting. Apart from gained fps in rF2, this will also decrease input lag for most users. I think AMD setting is 0 but I am not sure. rFactor2 in Borderless(windowed) mode is running trough OS-Sync buffer and it limits you graphic cards performance. Use mode: Fullscreen and you get better performance and less input lag.
