    Hello, does anyone know tell me about it??

    Amount of fuel being blocked from the 1st round qualifying lap. imagine that we share with 20 liters. In the qualifying, using 5 liters of petrol. There are 15 liters in the tank.

    Is it possible to start the race with only 15 liters left??

    I found the essence blocked from the qualifying but the race starts with 20 liters and not with what remains after qualifying.

    PS: sorry if my English is not great, I speak French only

    It can be done yes..

    It's a Parc Ferme setting however which requires you to change the rfm file of the mod..

    The settings I don't know of the top of my head as I am at work, but basically what it does is set the starting fuel (Race Start) of what you finished with on Quals.. So as you said, if the driver started with 20, uses 5, he or she will start with 15.

    You can also set in the Parc Ferme, to start on the same tires that were used in Quals but again, it requires changes to the rfm file in the mod.

    Great for communities / leagues..

    Thank you for your reply, could you tell me more when you can, because I have traveled the rfm file and I have found no point talking about the park closed

    Thanks

    PS: in the player.plr :
    *GPRIX ParcFerme="3" // 0=off, 1=no setup changes allowed between qual and race except for 'Free Settings'), 2=same unless rain, 3=use RFM default 'ParcFerme=<0-2>'
    *MULTI ParcFerme="3"

    I tried to change this line, and the setup is blocked between qualifying and the race, but the essence is that starting from the beginning of qualifying and the tires are new for the race.

    in the formula ISI mod, there is that in the RFM file:
    ParcFerme = 1
    ParcFermeFuel = 0.0
    ParcFermeTires = 10
    ParcFermeSetup = 1
    FreeSettings = 182
    TimedRaceNonLeaderLaps = 2

    Hi Steeve,

    Sorry for the delay.. Working long days and nights here and over the weekend.. I hope to find time tomorrow morning for you.

    The Forumula ISI mod with the info you posted, is the right area / code you need to change to get your desired results..

    I will post up the rF1 Parc Ferme rules for you which will actually explain each line a bit better. So far rF2 rfm files have not shown the details of each of these lines, only the code itself as you have posted..

    The lines (code) appear to be the same ie ParcFerme=1 and another important line is that of the FreeSettings=*** IF you want to restrict some of the garage settings changes ie once you complete your quals it locks down changes to your wings, your suspension, brake bias etc etc, it's all up to you..

    NOTE.. What ever changes you make to these files will only work if others have the same file / your own league / community..

    See this post tomorrow Steeve and hopefully it will have enough information to help you..

    Ok Steeve,

    These are the rfm file rules you need to add.. you were in the right area before as I said.. I haven't included all the rules, as some of them may now changed from what ISI are doing with rF2..

    SO for what you want, here it is explained.. Remember, it was taken from rF1 (hence the comment in the rain not being implemented , but these are still working in rF2.

    Note: The '//' is like a comments (Remark) field and can be added to the rfm.. It won't cause you any issues (if you didn't know).

    // Control over what changes can be made between qualifying and race. This value can be overridden through
    // the player file; default=0, possible values are 0=no restrictions, 1=restrictions apply, 2=restrictions
    // apply as long as it doesn't rain in qualifying or afterwards (and no that doesn't mean rain is implemented
    // yet, sorry).
    ParcFerme = 1

    // Whether fuel level remains the same (only if parc ferme is applicable). In general, this value specifies
    // what fraction of the qualifying session is reached before fuel usage becomes "free"; default=0.0, possible
    // values are 0.0-1.0, where 0.0 indicates fuel level is always free, 0.5 would mean fuel level at the halfway
    // point of qualifying will be used to start the race, and 1.0 means fuel level at the end of qualifying will
    // be used to start the race (and no refueling allowed during qualifying).
    ParcFermeFuel = 1.0

    // How many of the top qualifiers have to keep their used tires on for the race (only if parc ferme is applicable);
    // default=0, possible values are 0 and up (300 recommended if everybody has to keep their used tires).
    ParcFermeTires = 300

    // Whether setup used during qualifying must be used during the race (only if parc ferme is applicable), except
    // for the RFM/season/GDB or PLR file "FreeSettings"; default=1, possible values 0 or 1.
    ParcFermeSetup = 1

    // Settings that are free to be changed regardless of fixed or parc ferme setup. This can be overridden by the
    // player file. You must add the values of each setting that drivers are free to change:
    // 1 = steering lock
    // 2 = brake pressure
    // 4 = starting fuel
    // 8 = fuel strategy
    // 16 = tire compound
    // 32 = brake bias
    // 64 = front wing
    // 128 = engine settings (rev limit, boost, and engine braking)
    // For example, the default free settings are: steering lock (1) + brake pressure (2) + fuel strategy (8) = 11.
    // Possible values are -1 (use default value) up to 255 (which equals 1+2+4+8+16+32+64+128).
    FreeSettings = 16

    Hope that helps you to achieve what you want..

    A big thank you for these explanations.

    I will test all this for our future championship.

    I go back to say that everything worked fine except the park closed tires that apparently is not taken into account.
    Should we not put ParcFermeTires = 1.0 for activated

    If someone has info on this, I'm interested.

    thank you

    Steve..don't change the rfm for this..all this can be handled in the plr file, and the multi.ini file..which does NOT require all your drivers to change their rfm. In RF2 you can't change the rfm anyway..unless you export it out of the mas file...which is what I am having to do, because from what I can tell..the mas utility will not allow command line interface..big headache for me and my server hosting.

    You can't do Parc Ferme in the PLR or the Multi.ini file..

    For what Steeve is trying to achieve you can't do to a single car, you would need to do it to all drivers.. So if rf2 can have these settings done on the server in the PLR and / or Multi.ini file, then please point them out..

    As for changing RFM and repackaging, easy as pie and it can be done PROVIDING, that the other users have the same mod.. A repackage mod is under 1mb as you only need it as a reference to the already released mod you wish to enforce the Parc Ferme on..

    MikVa.. It sounds like you wish to achieve the same as what Steeve has, but are yet to learn the MAS file extraction and repackaging which is very simple once you get your head around it..

    Steeve... As for tyres.. Yes on the line, but either removing the line, or simply change it to 0.0 (see below)

    ParcFermeTires = 0.0

    You worked it out and glad the rest worked for you.. :)

    Radar...I miss read exactly what he was trying to do, sorry. I am reading on the mas file repackaging...but I have to extract the rfm file to core\rfm folder for our stuff to work...our stuff was all written on rfactor1..so we need to locate and use gdb and rfm files...which I have working..just makes it to where I have to install everything myself on servers..that's the draw back. Once I get a pattern down will make it faster for me. Anyway...until I get more up to date with rfactor2..I won't post so quickly :eek:

    Hi, can anyone tell me if this is still possible? Can't see any of these values in the rfm files.

    You'll need to add those settings to the .rfm.

    Ok thanks, I have done that now, do I just save it to MAS file again and then replace the original MAS?

    EDIT: And where would I put it in the .rfm file? After which values?
