There is supposed to be a "Target" figure on the steering wheel which is blank in practice but active in the races, but it's also inactive and not showing in race session

Testers have tested it and said it is working in race sessions. Can you post a screenshot of your race sessions? It might depend on that.

How do you manage to be able to look at anything on the dashboard while driving? If I do that, I'm in the wall. Maybe because it's because I'm ugly, fat, old and used up and my reaction time has gone to hell. Having to look at the lap time within a few seconds after I cross the finish line and before I look for the corner 1 braking point is almost impossible for me, let alone all the other stuff that's there.

Looks like it only works on lap count races at present.
