    Hello,

I have a Logitech Driving Force GT steering wheel. In ractor2, when the steering wheel is centered, the force feedback bounces the wheel left and right violently. Its going back and forth so bad that when the wheel is centered I cant drive in a straight line. The force feedback is great when the wheel is turned but when it is centered its horrible. Does anybody know how too fix this?

    Thanks

Are you sure the ffb is not inverted?

What are your profiler settings? And the FFB value ingame?

Thinking about the problem you described, i actually think can't be that anymore. If it were, your wheel would steer towards the absolute left or right instead of bouncing around the center position.

What you can try is increasing the "ffb smoothing" in the steering options page. This smooths out the quick changes in ffb which may solve your issue as it's an old wheel that may not be able to keep up with the ffb data rate of rf2. You'll have to play around with the number/value in "ffb smoothing" to find the right value that prevents this from happening but that doesn't numb out the finer details of the ffb that makes the experience in rf2 so great.

Steering torque zero-speed mult="0.45000" // Multiplier at zero speed to reduce unwanted oscillation from strong static aligning torque

This line in the controller.ini helped with a 'similar' problem in the past. Could be worth trying.

You can also turn down "car-specific ffb mult" which is just above the "ffb smoothing" slider pointed out in DrR1pper's graphic.

knock it down a bit at a time until oscillation goes away.

I did the DFGT profile (99.9% default setting :) ), are you using that?

If yes, my wheel doesnt bounce at all, not on track at full speed in the straights, not in the pits.

I dont know why your wheel bounces, may be a bit of dead zone can help you?

I am running the DFGT profile. I have messed around with the above mentioned variable. However, the steering wheel still shakes back and forth when im sitting still in the pits(about -20 deg to 20 deg). Nobody else has odd FFB behavior at the center point ( about -2 degree to 2 degrees)?

See my post above. Make the number smaller.

Thanks kaptinkremmen! I have dialed out the oscillating in a straight line! Thanks again.
