    Hello amigos, iam making a circuit, but i want transitions grass/asphalt to beautify the circuit; but i have flickering problems.

    I explain what iam doing:

    1- I have created a plane in the place i want the transition and i have modify the height in 0,01 : (the red lines are a plane in 3dsmax)

    2-Then i export the plane with the exporter with the DECAL tag checked:

    3- Now in the SCN file i create this lines:

    Instance=Transition1
    {
    MeshFile=Transition1.gmt Decal=True CollTarget=False HATTarget=False
    }

    4- Now i go to the rfactor2 dev mode , and i see this:

    I do not understand why i have flickering if i have all good.

    Please help me, I 'm beginning to think that aliens create this flickering ;)

    i share with you a pic of my work:

    Buenos días, raul :)

    For testing purposes, raise transition plane 1 cm more above terrain and re-export. To me, it still looks like plane is same level with terrain.

    Cheers!

    May i ask why you don't create the transition with the textures that you use for road and gras?

    I don't know if rF2 behaves different to rF1 in this case, but every track with 2 or more meshes overlapping, made problems in rF1 with flickering, bad reaction on headlights and tdf-reactions.

    Ahh, OK, i didn't know that new system. That solves many troubles that rF1 tracks have. :)

    Most likely yes and I'd look for problem from decal texture.

    Do you use chroma blending? If you do, is there alpha in your texture?

    Cheers!

    Thanks you Jka for your help. I was repair my plane
    Raising some pixels the plane. I was copy the transition material of joesville section. You can see my new track in my last started thread.

    Good you got it solved. :)

    Btw... For tarmac/grass/gravel transitions, new Terrain Shader gives you much more flexibility rather than decals. It will look much better too. You can find documentation of Terrain Shared in Dev Corner (http://rfactor.net/web/rf2/devscorner/).

    Cheers!
